"I'm kind of weird thing. I know almost nothing about fashion. I have never been so into it. I know some brands and so on, but still..."

I'm a 27 year old Scandinavian woman. I live in Finland, which is a small country between Sweden and Russia. It's always cold, even in summer and winters are even colder and darker. There's not so much to do here, especially if you live in country side. Finnish people are well-known for their design, deco and arts. It just doesn't show in everyone...And we're not all blonde and blue eyed.

I have some fashion industry background because I got a modelling contract last autumn. I was discovered in an open casting at a mall. I have done some art projects but still waiting for something more. But now onto my main subject!
My fashion is mostly anything I can find from second hand stores or as they called here - flea markets. Inexpensive clothes and accessories. I buy almost every piece of clothing from 2nd hand stores (apart from underwear). So this is what I'm about to blog - second hand stories and title it "More than Pennies".

In Finland, second hand stores are mainly quite large and include a couple of hundred tables. Smaller ones don't have good quality. You can rent a table for yourself and bring your stuff to sell. A large majority of sale products are children and baby clothes, but every now and then you can find some treasures for yourself! That's because people who sell those products are idiots and don't know the real value. Bad for them, Good for us!
When I enter a second hand store or flea market, first I think, do I need something or do I just wonder around. So I check out all tables and see if there's anything interesting. Then I start searching for needful things. I'm very precise about prices. Some people are asking for ridiculous prices! If there's anything cheap, you can find something even cheaper! Another important thing is, that it is the real deal, fakes are not welcome. Vintage is a different thing altogether...

I have an idea, that in my regular posts I present my 2nd hand store discoveries with photos, prices and further information. So please, stay tuned!
