On Saturday 18th October 2014,
Oxjam took over 6 venues across Cambridge to raise money for Oxfam. The Alma,
The Great Northern, The Emperor and The Flying Pig hosted the raw musical talent
that Cambridge has to offer. Whilst The Fountain and Q Club provided in house
DJ’s to keep the party going until the early hours of the morning.
The Emperor played as the main stage of the
music festival with a live tweet wall active from 15.00 until close. Oxjam was
one of the 5 takeover teams to be in partnership with TOMS; running two
competitions to win a pair of TOMS shoes and glasses.
The Oxjam Cambridge Takeover raised
£7019.42 for Oxfam whilst only spending £68.32 on the whole event.
Keep your eyes peeled for the Oxjam exclusive promo video of
the night.
Thank you to all the acts, volunteers, TOMS,
Booking.com, Cambridge 105 and venues for collaborating to help fight poverty.
Couple of videos from the awesome night! Check them out :) Such talent was on display!
